Once more a person suggested that if only a celebrity came forward and spoke out about hepatitis c, we would advance the cause significantly.
The “What if it were me?” thought prompts many celebrities to pump up the volume for research into diseases like AIDS, breast and prostate cancer as a prophylactic. However, one hidden killer lags far behind in funding and star power: HEPATITIS C.
So, it got me to thinking. Each of the celebrities listed here has had their condition(s) published. These conditions are public record. I guarantee you that there are many many more who are not willing to share. But, this is about those who have, so here it is.
Add to it if you wish, but do not add anyone who has not been public about it. The list:

Comments are not pre-approved, either. I do ask that you link to anything you find here, rather than copy into your own site. best regards, th
I didn’t link anything to any site of mine. I only linked to Wikipedia. What is wrong with that? It still isn’t showing up! I guess I don’t understand a comment section that doesn’t allow comments? Perhaps you can help me understand? Thanks!

Hello Teresa. There is a list at Wikipedia.
I then gave the Wikipedia links so that you could see who is listed there and add to your list since you are missing many of them. Sorry. Was just trying to be helpful!
Absolutely nothing wrong with that, Pam.
Welcome.
I did not see a link and apologize if my warped sense of humour went sideways.
If you know many I missed, please add them. I would appreciate it very much.
Glad you made the effort to clear up any misunderstanding. I am so glad you did!!

There is a place in your comment section under name and email for a website before you come to the text area. Perhaps I put mine there as I do on many of the comment Boards that I go to. Perhaps that was what you were referring to? You might have your webmaster remove that section if you don’t want it filled out:-) Just a friendly suggestion.
There are some other names at Wikipedia. If you click on the discussion area it will take you to them. I do hope more and more celebs come forward with their dealings with Hep C. We definitely need to get the word spread about it. Keep up the good work!
Peace
Pam
What does s/p mean?
“status post”

Add Greg Allman to that list. I just heard on the radio and found it on his web site that he has delayed his 2008 tour because of his Hep C treatments.
Cher should consider a test.
